Mission Statement
To improve and safeguard the quality of life within the City of Clifton, the members of the Clifton Fire Department guarantee to the citizens and visitors of Clifton that we will provide dependable service in a responsible fashion, while showing care and compassion for those in need. As public servants, our first and foremost duty is to serve the community. Services
The Clifton Fire Department serves the community by performing the following essential services:
- Emergency Medical Services: vehicle and industrial extrication
- Fire Prevention Services: building inspections, code enforcement, plan review, public fire safety education, Fire Investigations
- Fire Suppression
- Hazardous Materials Intervention
- Office of Emergency Management
The Clifton Fire Department's forecast for the future is to expand the delivery of and improve fire ground efficiency through:
- Broaden Public Fire Safety Education
Hazardous Materials Response Program
Enhance the Hazardous Materials Response Program by:
- Increasing the number of certified Hazardous Materials technicians
- Expand Hazardous Materials training
- Install computer terminals in all fire stations
- Replace all of the department's current self-contained breathing apparatus with new state of the art units
- Construct new fire station to replace fire station number 1, located on Madison Avenue and First Street
