ABOUT

The Swatara Fire-Rescue Services is committed to providing the best possible services to the community. Established in 2016, Swatara Fire-Rescue Services has the mission of protecting life, environment, and property within the Township of Swatara. We are a department that is aggressive, progressive, and forward-thinking in the execution of our duties. We recognize that our key assets are the volunteer personnel that put in countless hours for public events, incident response, and training. Their dedication is unparalleled and together we continue to strive for service excellence to the residents of Swatara Township.

To effectively accomplish this mission, the Department has located four stations throughout the Township, each station houses at least one front line fire engine equipped to handle a variety of emergency calls. The four stations are capable of responding to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with volunteer personnel.

Our Firefighters serve the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, training for and performing duties in the following general categories: fire suppression, emergency medical aid or rescue, hazardous material responses, and public education.
