The Bridgeport Fire Department (BFD) protects the City of Bridgeport, it is the third largest fire department in the US state of Connecticut. Operating from 8 fire stations it currently consists of:
•9 Engine Companies
•4 Ladder Companies
•1 Rescue Company
•2 Battalions
•1 Deputy (Tour Commander)
•1 Safety Officer
•1 fireboat
