  • $1,940.67 Bi-Weekly - After Training

ABOUT CENTRAL COVENTRY FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Central Coventry Fire District is a Fire District in the Town of Coventry. The department responds to fire, medical, hazardous material, and marine responses from our two stations. We staff two Class A engines, and two ALS recues. We provide automatic aid to the other Town of Coventry Fire Districts. Our department provides an all-hazards approach to many critical infrastructures in the district including the Town High School, two Elementary Schools, Senior Center, two Nursing Homes and a Propane Storage facility. The Central Coventry Fire District is committed to delivering the highest quality of service to the Residents of the Fire District and the Town of Coventry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Must possess a valid certificate of successful completion of the RI Association of Fire Chief's PPA and Written Exam by the time of appointment
  • Must be currently licensed as RI EMT at time of appointment
  • Must obtain a RI EMT Cardiac License within 12 months of Hiring

 

HIRING PROCESS

  • Oral Board
  • Ladder Climb
  • Swim Test
  • Academy Training - 12 weeks at the Rhode Island Fire Academy, 4 weeks On-the-Job Training
