Fairfield Fire Department
The Department provides service in the areas of fire prevention and education, Fire Suppression, Fire Investigation, Heavy Rescue, Hazardous Materials incident mitigation, Fire Inspections and Code Enforcement. The Fairfield Fire Department has been designated by the State Department of Emergency Medical Services as the Emergency First Responder in our community. In addition to basic level care, Fairfield’s firefighters are also trained to utilize defibrillators as well as administer medication for patients having allergic reactions. The Fire Chief serves as the Emergency Management Director for the Town and consequently the department plays a critical role in Emergency Management.
Minimum Requirements
- High school graduation or GED
- U.S. citizenship
- Non-smoking status
- Valid driver’s license
- EMT Certification
