ABOUT HOPKINS HILL FIRE DISTRICT
The Hopkins Hill Fire District is a fire district in the Town of Coventry, RI. The department responds to fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle collisions, and other calls for service. Department apparatus includes one ALS rescue, one class A pumper, one 100' aerial quint, and one brush truck. The department also operates a State of Rhode Island Regional Decon Team. The department provides automatic aid to the other fire districts within the Town of Coventry. Our department provides an all-hazards approach to critical infrastructure including an elementary school, nursing home, large box stores, and a pharmaceutical company. The Hopkins Hill Fire District is committed to delivering the highest quality service to the residents of the fire district and the Town of Coventry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a US Citizen
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must possess a valid state written exam score
Must possess Rhode Island emergency medical technician license (AEMT-Cardiac preferred)
Pro Board Firefighter I and II certification
Pro Board Hazmat Operations Level certification
Must possess RI PPA Certification within the last year

Accepted from applicants currently working in a career department or recently retired (within 1 year)
Must be a US Citizen
Must be at least 18 years of age
