Job Announcement:

Monterey Fire Department
The Monterey Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Captain/Paramedic. The position reports to the fire chief and will be required to fulfil the duties of shift commander for one tour of a three tour rotation. The position will be open until filled.
The department operates from a single station, equipped with a ladder truck, engine/tanker, light rescue vehicle, brush truck, and a boat. While a multi-year staffing plan is in progress, the department currently is staffed by a full-time fire chief and deputy fire chief on weekdays, eight resident call/volunteer firefighters, 10 night shift firefighters, and four support members. The department also provides mutual aid to nearby communities and serves as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) for the towns of Great Barrington and Lee.
