Fire Prevention Specialist (Fire Inspector)
The Millburn Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau is seeking to immediately fill 2 part-time Fire Prevention Specialist (Fire Inspector) positions. This is a non-competitive NJ Civil Service Commission application/appointment. The positions will be for a total of 20 hours per week each. Competitive salary with pro-rated personal leave offered. Position does not include health benefits. While set work days are preferred, rotating days to accommodate other employment schedule will be considered. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and possess and maintain a valid NJ Driver’s license. Applicant must possess of a current, valid Fire Inspector Certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Please attach a copy of your certification with your completed application. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility. Applicants who possess the higher level certification as a Fire Official are considered to have met the above certification requirement.
